Our Vision
Is to build a dynamic heritage museum for innovative exploration and experiential opportunities for all. We envision a community space where lively discussions happen; where the audience is always engaged in new ways – and where everyone has the freedom to see, touch, and participate with our history. We draw on the strengths of the past, present, and future of our city and community.
We will enhance the community by providing appealing and innovative cultural heritage programming; engaging both those who have an interest in historical preservation, as well as those who are new to the idea – and entertain them with original and unique programs and exhibitions highlighting our extensive and diverse collection.
Our organization continues to work to evolve and preserve the permanent collection for present and future generations, as well as grow the idea of what a heritage museum is to the community it serves.

Our thanks to the ladies of the Current Events Club who garnered community support in 1953 to establish a museum. Incorporated as the Snohomish County Museum Association we have gone through several stages of development and in 2012, changed our name to Everett Museum of History in order to better reflect our local focus.
Over the years, the support of many volunteers and loyal history buffs have kept the Museum alive. While the Museum has been in several buildings, it has never had a permanent home until |
now. With a generous gift from the Elizabeth Ruth Wallace Living Trust, we were able to purchase an historic building in the heart of downtown Everett, Washington, which we are renovating to create an historically focused, relevant, and entertaining destination museum -- one that will tell the story of our diverse community.
