Gene Nastri played an important part in the history of music in Everett. He developed a music program for grade schools before beginning a 27-year career as a teacher in the Everett School District – teaching all the stringed instruments. Gene had a fun and flamboyant personality which he used to engage his students. He was the Concertmaster of the Everett Symphony for 38 years. Many of his former students pursued musical careers throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.
